CELEBRATING SUMMER 2008
Place on the medicine
wheel: South
The element is fire and the season is summer. South is called the place
of youth and love; also known as the place of thankfulness. South is
the place of seeing the world through the eyes of youth with confidence
and trust. It is the place to let go of suspicions, fears and all negative
emotions in order to express fully who you are.

Our
prayer for the South is:
Spirit of the South
Help me to see the world around me
Through the eyes of a child.
Give me the wisdom to let go of my own expectations
And open my heart to the unexpected.
Guide me, so I can learn to hear your voice
In everything that is life, in all my relations.
- Josiane Antonette

Dear friends,
Today's political and environmental climate indicates that we
are living one of the most powerful times in our history. On a
human level our social, economical and consciousness structures
are going through great transformations that will eventually touch
and reshape our lives in many ways and on many levels, and will force us
to become responsible. It does not take too much insight to feel
and see the tremendous awakening taking place and how we are all
being invited to participate in a more conscious way of life.
Many of
us are aware that the earth and all that live upon it are going
through major changes too. Many believe that this transformation
is a natural cyclic shift, far beyond the realm of human influence.
Some believe that human wasteful consumption and irresponsible ecological
management have led to were we are today. Whether or not the changes
are a result of natural causes or human-induced, one thing is clear - we
have become accustomed to a lifestyle which is unsustainable
and a major change of consciousness needs to take place in order
to save "our home" and the generations to come. We are
all striving for a better world and one way we can achieve it
is by getting in tune with the earth and recognizing that our survival
is tightly connected to her survival.
Last week
I was driving back from an outing in Ashland, Oregon, and was caught
in one of the most powerful rain storms. The sky which was clear
on my way in, three hours earlier, changed suddenly to cloudy
and then dark and soon great lightning bolts were crossing the celestial
sphere. As big drops of rain started falling over the thirsty
land, I felt an immense joy sweeping over the entire landscape -
it was if nature were laughing and dancing in the rain, taking
the life energy so needed for its sustenance. I open my car window
to seize the moment. The blissful smell of the wet earth and the
warm wind so gently touching my hand took me back instantly to
one of my childhood memories... When I was a little
girl living in my grandmother's house in Corsica, one of my favorite
things during the summer rain storms was to dance barefoot in the
rain, opening my arms wide, sticking my tongue out to catch the
sweet water drops coming from heaven and going around and around
until I was too tired, wet to the bones and a little tipsy too. And this was what nature was doing right now right before my eyes
and I was part of it. What a beautiful and powerful experience
it was then and again today, and how connected we can be with everything
if we allow ourselves to feel.
This summer
more than ever let us celebrate the beauty and bounty that is
around us by accepting the responsibility for the well being of
our planet and let us rejoice in our choices for a better world for
today and the years to come.
May you
have many "dancing in the rain" experiences this summer
and may the earth our life giver and sustainer and all living
things be well and strong.
Many blessings
to all.

with the bear lodge tipi in the background at our home in Mt. Shasta.
I
hope this summer some of you will visit our sacred grounds and the
new prayer lodge we are building for the enjoyment of all.
From
June to September I offer spiritual consultations and healing, as
well as shamanic journeying in the Bear Lodge. Sweat lodge ceremonies
are offered often in the summer and are available upon request for
groups or individuals. We also have a healing circle every Friday
at 6:30 and it would be a great joy if you could join us to celebrate
life with us this summer.
Services
(Please call for Josiane's office hours in Davis and
Mt. Shasta, California)
Spiritual Consultations (in person or by phone)
After life communication
Travelling to the world of spirit has been an expertise of mine since
childhood, travelling to the world of
the dead my specialty. After life communication will help you to resolve
unfinished business and allow you to reclaim your right to live fully
while helping the departed spirit go on with its own journey. I also
specialize in working with those who have died a violent death ( suicide,
accident, murder) and are still earthbound to help them find their way
home.
Spiritual Healing Sessions
Hands on energy balancing for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual
wellness.
Distance Healing
Transmission of healing energies without the person present.
Awakening session (soul healing)
During the course of a session, my responsibility to my client is to
travel for him or her to the
world of spirit to retrieve the lost part of their soul. After the first
session clients will feel
clearer and able to regain a sense of self control and power.
Rites of passage/Death (preparation for Burial)
The body of the newly dead is not debris or remnants, nor is the person
entirely gone. They are
rather adjusting to a new reality. It is wise and recommended to treat
the newly dead
tenderly, carefully, and with honor. I offer myself to be of service
by assisting you to come to closure with the death
of your loved one, by honoring the deceased with appropriate preparation
for burial.
Death and Dying Support
A program assisting the terminally ill and comatose patient, their loved
ones and caretakers suffering from grief and loss.
